Getting Settled

Everytime I speak to people here, I have been getting the question, "how are you settling in?" In truth, it has been an extraordinary roller coaster. The highs have been very high. Everything that I wanted to experience about moving to a new country, I have experienced. I have been exposed to many new cultures and people. I have been forced to adapt to some of the aspects of life in london, and I have fought to maintain some of the things i've enjoyed from the past. The lows have been tough as well. I miss San Francisco. I miss my family and friends, and I miss many of the luxories I had from my recent life in the best city in the world (tons of friends, comfortable apartment, car, flexible job, something to do every second of the day).

I make no judgements though. There is no right or wrong decision about coming here, it's all just part of this crazy thing we call life. The truth is that I am very lucky to have everything that I do have.
