Family Values

After Boston, I made a brief stop in New Orleans to see my family before heading to Argentina. As a young kid, family dinners and Sunday lunches were just a part of the way we grew up. As I reached my teens, naturally, I found other more interesting and important things to do with my time, but as I look back on those days and the times I spent with my family, I feel very lucky to have had those opportunities. I was always surrounded by good-natured, good-hearted, people who cared about me, and I am a better person today because of that.

Today, I am thankful for my momma Jeanny for teaching me the importance of family life. While a strong core family may not be as critical to survival today as I'm sure it was for her growing up in Palestine and Lebanon, it has certainly enriched my life in ways that I could have never found on my own. Thanks momma.
